About No Scams
No Scams is an iPhone app that sends scam texts to Junk automatically. Scam protection and checks are free. This website keeps a library of real scam texts, plain-English guides, and free checkers that work in your browser.
Why No Scams exists
- $15.9 billion. That's how much Americans reported losing to fraud in 2025, up from more than $12 billion the year before, according to the Federal Trade Commission.
- $470 million to scam texts. People reported losing $470 million in 2024 to scams that started with a text message, more than five times the 2020 number. Fake package delivery texts were the most reported, says the FTC.
- 57 percent of adults worldwide experienced a scam in the past year, and 23 percent lost money, according to the Global Anti-Scam Alliance's 2025 survey of 46,000 adults in 42 markets.
- $442 billion worldwide. That's the estimate of global losses to financial fraud in 2025 cited by INTERPOL in its 2026 Global Financial Fraud Threat Assessment.
The FTC's numbers count only the losses people report to it.
How No Scams helps
- Scam texts go to Junk, free. Turn on filtering once. No Scams checks texts from numbers you don't know the moment they arrive, right on your iPhone, and scams skip your inbox.
- Free checks. Paste or share any text, link or screenshot to see the warning signs, with a plain reason for every verdict.
- Every report protects everyone. Report a scam text in the app, and automatic checks can add its scam website to the block list every No Scams iPhone downloads (see Reported this week).
- No Scams Plus (optional). Filters for political texts, fake-friend texts, and loan, gambling, crypto and marketing spam.
How we check every page
- We never call a real company's message a scam. When real companies send texts that look like scams, such as bank fraud alerts and delivery updates, we say so and show how to tell the real one from a fake.
- Every scam text we quote is confirmed by a reputable source, such as the FTC, the FBI, a state agency, the company being impersonated, or established news, and we link it on the page.
- Every fact has a source, and each page shows when it was last updated.
- No phone numbers, no live links. Scammers often use real people's numbers, so we take numbers out of the texts we quote, and links in scam texts are disabled.
Privacy
Checks run on your iPhone. Your texts stay on it unless you choose to report one, and personal details are removed first. The app has no account, no ads and no tracking. The privacy policy has the details.
